Before going to college, Carlos worked in the hospitality industry as a Sommelier as well as having a successful wedding photography business.  Carlos graduated from the University of California, Davis with a BA in Sociology with a specialization in Organizational Studies.  After college, Carlos obtained a General Securities Representative License (Series 7), an Investment Company Product Variable Contracts Limited Representative License (Series 6), a Securities Advisor and Securities Agent License (Series 66) and then worked as a Financial Investment Consultant with Wells Fargo, Investments Group in San Francisco.

Carlos then attended the University of California, Hastings College of The Law and obtained his Juris Doctor degree.  Upon obtaining his Law Degree, Carlos worked in small boutique firms before beginning his own Family Law practice.  He belongs to the Contra Costa Criminal Conflict Panel and has represented a high number of misdemeanor cases.

Carlos has a strong passion and commitment to providing legal representation to diverse socio-economic backgrounds in Family Law and Criminal Law.  He is a native Spanish speaker.
